Founder & CEO
At 17, Rina founded a health and education non-profit, Aahana, for youth across rural communities. In her teens and early 20’s, Rina built a school for disabled children and organized countless global campaigns to fight poverty. After college, Rina lived abroad for 3 years, spending majority of her time in the Gandhi Ashram exploring the deeper existential question of life while spending her time in the world of economic development, working with youth in over 100 communities globally, and working at early stage start ups.
Rina loves running and walking long distances (she’s walked the Camino de Santiago across Spain), reading, writing, and going on spontaneous adventures globally and in the beautiful NYC she is proud to call home. ❤️

Chief Medical Officer
Sameer (he/him/his) is what we like to call a “thinker” always thinking of new ideas and ways to push the envelope on creating a better world. He has worked with numerous innovative health tech, device, and community startups of all stages. He also was a fellow at Harvard Medical School’s Incite Health program, where he co-founded and was Chief Innovation Officer at Sherbit, a company designed to inform and engage patients and providers in understanding how personal lifestyle, behaviors, and socioeconomic status impact health, until their acquisition in 2018.
Since completing his Family Medicine residency at Duke University, Sameer has worked clinically with marginalized populations across the country in tribal and special needs clinics, while building systems to address community wealth, power and upstream social drivers of poor health.
Sameer can also be found playing guitar with an indie-folk singer vibe, traveling around the world, and cracking up the SHE team with his sense of humor. He is truly a renaissance man who is going to change the world through his passions.
Our mission is to provide the necessary and accessible support that all young people need to thrive in this world. This includes all women, cis or trans, and all non-binary and gender nonconforming young people. We are not a platform that only empowers cis-gendered young women; there is space for everyone at our table. The goal is to change the face of social networks, to give you the platform to use your voice and tell our community and the world your story. In order to do this, SHE works to be a safe space for all gender identities. We have room for you, your ideas, and your voice.
We encourage and value diversity in background, nationality, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, self expression, physicality, ability, neuro-divergence, economic status, and educational background. We do not tolerate racism, sexism, queer-phobia, hateful language, ableism, bigotry, body shaming, or intolerance of any kind.
